On National Coming Out Day we will be present on Gullen Mall at Wayne State & at Henry Ford College to offer blessings to all persons finding their truest selves in the full love of the Divine.

We will offer glitter to mark your hands or forehead. and we’ll offer words of blessing to all as we celebrate this day of freedom for our LGBTQIA+ siblings.

An evening of music, food and friends supporting those on whom the holiday season weighs heavy.

Come to sing through grief, loneliness, brokenness and more as we await the coming of Love’s promise. Like a wake for the past year, The Longest Night is our chance to face the world with the hope of Emmanuel, God With Us.

  • WHO: College Students, Young Adults & All Ages - Anyone interested in singing in the Christmas miracle despite life’s struggles.

Motor City Hymns will be providing music for the evening. Food will be provided. Guests are welcome to purchase their own drinks. Donations received on the evening will go to support The Hawk’s Nest food pantry at Henry Ford College.

Join us for a week of music and creativity as we head to Nashville to record another installment of our Motor City Hymns project.

Proceeds from this project will go to support the charity chosen by student artists and producers.

The week will include writing and recording music, service with local non-profits and experiencing the music of Nashville.

SCHEDULE:

Monday
9am - Van Departs Detroit (with pickups)

9pm - Arrival at Scarritt-Bennett Center, Nashville, TN

Tuesday - Friday

9am - Optional Devotions

10am - Brunch

11am - Creative Session / Volunteering

3pm - Chill/Dinner

7pm - Evening Explorations / Creative Sessions

Saturday

9am - Depart Nashville

9apm - Arrive Detroit
