CONSIDER THIS:
In his “Letter From A Birmingham Jail” Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. addresses clergy leaders who were slow to join the civil rights movement for fear it would be too disruptive, too soon, and too controversial. The letter reminds us of the ways that our delay in pursuing justice are an injustice in an of themselves. Dr. King writes, “You deplore the demonstrations that are presently taking place in Birmingham. But I am sorry that your statement did not express a similar concern for the conditions that brought the demonstrations into being.”

In 1 Corinthians 12 we are reminded that God “activates our gifts” so that we can bless the world and build justice with them. What are the gifts that have been activated in you that you can offer for our rebellion against injustice?
