TRIVIA! "It's All Greek and Hebrew to Me!"

THE INVITATION:

We invite you to:

  1. Gather with friends and people you trust

  2. Help each other make it through life

  3. Be courageous in sharing, compassionate in responding, and creative in your resilience together for the good of all.

CHECK IN:

  1. How is it going?

  2. How can we help each other?

  3. Who else do we need to think about and pray for today?

CONSIDER THIS:

We’ve got a secret for you! The words we use in our versions of the Bible aren’t the real words from the original texts of scripture!!! (I know, right?!?! Conspiracy!!!) But in reality, they are translations of the original Hebrew (in the Old Testament) and Greek (in the New Testament). Click the button below or scan the QR code to play a short online trivia game about these words and how we understand them!

The game is self guided and the first question starts as soon as you enter your name. Good luck!

DISCUSS:

  1. Have you ever studied a language other than your own? What was challenging or rewarding about that process?

  2. What trivia question surprised you the most and why?

  3. Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.” What’s one way you could be more gracious in your speaking or in your listening?

SENDING:
